1916 Collection

Collection Description

A collection of nine digitally recorded interviews, with eleven interviewees, exploring connections between the Easter Rising of 1916 and West Cork, recorded by members of the West Cork Oral Heritage Group. The cohort of interviewees includes nine men and two women and amounts to over fifteen hours of recorded material.  The interviews were recorded by trained Volunteers of the WCOHP before the centenary of the Easter Rising in 2016. This collection is part of a broader archive of twenty-seven interviews with twenty-nine contributors (see West Cork Life Story Collection).
